A JetLAN Server With the In-Flight Safety Monitoring System (ISMS) TM Software Provides a Complete Maintenance Solution.
SEATTLE, WA, November 14, 2005 - NAT Seattle and Star Navigation Systems have joined forces to bring a complete data acquisition, monitoring and transmission system to airlines. This venture combines NAT Seattle's JetLAN Hardware with Star Navigation's ISMS TM software.
The In-Flight Safety Monitoring System (ISMS) TM is a complete data acquisition, monitoring and transmission system designed and patented by Star Navigation Systems, which includes a JetLAN Airborne Server Unit, Satcom receiver / transmitter, an antenna and associated cabling with no interference to the cockpit.
The system, operation of which is automatic and therefore independent of flight crew management, performs data acquisition of the following functions:
· Flight parameters such as airspeed, heading, pitch and roll
· Engine data and position information from the on-board Flight Data Recorder (FDR)
· Position reporting, destination information and crew flight time tracking from the Flight Management System (FMS)
· Cabin and cockpit information from the Air Data System
All of these functions are transmitted to the JetLAN through the ARINC 429 or ARINC 573 / 717 data busses and decoded and analyzed with ISMS TM software. The data is communicated and monitored through a secure Internet site.
The ISMS™ is the first system in the world to feature in-flight data monitoring and diagnostics with a real-time, secure connection between aircraft and ground, made possible through current technology and satellite transmission.
The system has been tested and certified for airworthiness by world transport authorities including the FAA and Transport Canada. Star Navigation's ISMS™ significantly enhances safety and provides cost-saving benefits for the world's airlines. Its real-time capability of tracking performance-trends and predicting incident - occurrence enhances aviation safety and improves fleet management while dramatically reducing operating and maintenance costs.

PENTAR Avionics' Latest Airborne Network Computer, the JetLAN AR230, Provides Integrated Wireless Capability with Server/Router Functions
The AR230 is a combination of WAP, Server/Router, and Ethernet Switch all in one, compact certified package.
SEATTLE, WA, April 1, 2005 - PENTAR Avionics, a leading manufacturer of aircraft data communication, management and networking products, today announced the availability of the next generation airborne network computer, the JetLAN AR230. Aircraft operators with High Speed Data Satcom systems need a simple, reliable way to share the connection among multiple users simultaneously. The AR230 provides this capability and more.
Although small in size, the AR230 is big in performance and features. Dual processors (PC + Avionics), 9 port ethernet switch, wireless (802.11x) access point, ISDN interfaces, avionics interfaces and extensive networking I/O are all provided in a single 2MCU package weighing only 6 pounds.
Designed, tested and built to the most stringent avionics certification and reliability standards including DO-160D, DO-178 and DO-254, the AR230 is a true avionics LRU, not just re-packaged commercial avionics. It is, however, completely compatible with standard PC applications.
Numerous interfaces are provided to accommodate integration with PC networks, avionics systems and telecommunication/Satcom systems. The AR230 is compatible with all major high-speed Satcom systems including Ku Band systems, Swift64 (MPDS and ISDN) and is ready for SwiftBroadband.
We are currently taking orders for the JetLAN AR230, for more information call 1-888-655-3755 or email at
